Leadership Across Security, Continuity, and Emergency Operations
Richard Brasuell brings extensive experience in business continuity, critical communications, catastrophic planning, emergency preparedness, and operational coordination across military, public-safety, and high-consequence environments.
His career includes service in the United States Navy, where he supported some of the military's most demanding communications and operational missions. While assigned to NCTAMS LANT in Norfolk, Virginia, he coordinated multiple network failovers to off-site locations for one of the Navy's largest communications stations, helping ensure continuity of critical communications and uninterrupted operational support.
Richard Brasuell later served in support of Naval Special Warfare, including an assignment with SEAL Team Six. During multiple deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, he developed and implemented numerous critical communications packages to support operational requirements in austere and high-risk environments. His work focused on ensuring deployed teams maintained the communications capabilities necessary to support command and control, situational awareness, operational coordination, and mission execution.
In his public-safety career, Richard Brasuell has served with the Houston Police Department's Catastrophic Planning Unit, where he has supported planning for some of the nation's largest sporting events, emergencies, and complex public-safety operations. His planning experience includes the 2023 NCAA Men's Final Four, the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship, and preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. For FIFA 2026, he was the supervisor over the Area Command for communications and logistics.
